Who We Are
The Child Center of NY began in 1953 as a children's counseling center in Queens. Today, we are a powerful community presence throughout NYC, reaching nearly 60,000 children and their families each year. Our mission is to strengthen children and families with skills, opportunities, and emotional support to build healthy, successful lives.
Our Impact
Last year, we provided education and counseling services to nearly 60,000 children and families. Throughout this process, we have witnessed the profound resilience of the communities we serve and have watched as they break the cycle of generational poverty and create extraordinary opportunities for themselves and their neighbors. Our comprehensive approach empowers and recognizes that our communities know best.
