This year, we are thrilled to host a Roundtable of Resilience, bringing together leaders from across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to engage in an important conversation about how we can overcome challenges and shape the future of our communities.
It is with great pleasure that we announce we will be honoring the Voice of Resilience Award recipient, Joseph Di Salvo, an extraordinary businessman, mentor, and educator; the Distinguished Service Award recipient, Kristen Lonergan, our longtime board member, dear friend, and supporter, who as a managing partner at Greenberg Traurig, LLP has generously brought the firm’s resources to our organization; and the recipient of the Impact Award to the incredible team at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, for their outstanding contributions to The Child Center and our community. What these honorees have in common is their focus on service and desire to make the world a better place. Their tireless commitment to building stronger families and more resilient communities is one of many reasons we are proud to honor and celebrate them.
As Joe Di Salvo powerfully stated, “Inspire future generations of business leaders and titans of industry to be not only good business people, but good people in business.” This quote resonates deeply with our mission and the values we are uplifting at this event.
The Child Center of NY has been a beacon of hope for New York City’s children and families for more than 70 years, providing life-changing services that help young people overcome adversity and reach their full potential. Each year, we serve nearly 60,000 children and families—many from historically under-resourced communities—offering vital programs that include:
-
Early Childhood Education – Laying the foundation for lifelong learning
-
Behavioral and Mental Health Services – Supporting emotional and mental well-being
-
Academic and Youth Development Programs – Creating pathways to success
-
Family and Community Engagement – Building stronger families and neighborhoods
-
Health and Wellness Initiatives – Ensuring a safe, supportive environment for growth
At The Child Center of NY, we believe every child, regardless of their zip code, deserves the chance to thrive with the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to succeed. The evening promises to be more than just a celebration—it will be a call to action. We are coming together to explore how to work as a united community to build resilience for our children and families, providing the tools they need to overcome adversity and reach new heights.
