Who We Are
The Child Center of NY began in 1953 as a children's counseling center in Queens. Today, we are a powerful community presence throughout NYC, reaching more than 58,000 children and their families each year. Our mission is to strengthen children and families with skills, opportunities, and emotional support to build healthy, successful lives.

Round Table of Resilience Gala
The Child Center of NY will celebrate 71 years of working alongside communities as they rise above the status quo to reach new levels of possibility in their lives. We believe even brighter possibilities lie ahead. Join us June 3rd to celebrate what's come before and look to the future with boldness.

Support Us
Your support offers a lifeline to children who are experiencing poverty, emotional difficulties, child abuse, academic failure, and other challenges that threaten their current achievements and future successes. It is a direct result of your support that we can continue to close the gap between aspirations and opportunity for New York's children.

Join Our Team
The Child Center of NY is committed to excellence in delivering the highest quality services to those who need them most. Integral to this commitment, and our ability to fulfill our mission, is a dedication to sustaining a culture of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB). As we partner with our clients in a way that is consistent with EDIB principles, we are equally dedicated to supporting all employees in the same way.

Programs & Services
When children and their families come through our doors, we look at them holistically—at their physical, cognitive, social, and, most importantly, emotional health. We evaluate and intervene to help resolve each piece of these interrelated challenges so that the whole child and entire family can reach their full potential. We know that each one has so much to give.

Our Impact
Last year, we provided education and counseling services to 58,000 children and families. Throughout this process, we have witnessed the profound resilience of the communities we serve and have watched as they break the cycle of generational poverty and create extraordinary opportunities for themselves and their neighbors. Our comprehensive approach empowers and recognizes that our communities know best.
